I am a 25-year-old screenwriter. I grew up in Paris, cared for by my Mexican Catholic mother and my French Jewish father. When miming words to my Latinoamerican family became problematic, I learnt Spanish. And when my father made me watch the American movies and TV shows I loved in English with English subtitles, I learnt English.

My imaginary landscape is a puzzle, made of the fantasy worlds of Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and His Dark Materials; the wisdom of Hermann Hesse, Saint-Exupéry, and CS Lewis; the keen sense of observation of Virginia Woolf, Mike Mills, and Paul Thomas Anderson; the unicorn-and-rainbow lighting of Hollywood romcoms; as well as the sci-fi masterpierces by the Wachowskis and the Nolans.

Writing is at my core. It is what I do, what I am, how I see, and how I interact. I have spent years learning about the process, and I will happily spend the rest of my life improving it. I started by analyzing the work of the great ones, through a BA in French literature at the Sorbonne in Paris. I then spent two years in Argentina, where I took classes in writing, directing, and editing, and where I worked for a year as a junior producer in the animation studio Tronco. Finally, I graduated from a MFA in Screenwriting at the New York Film Academy. Since then, I have spent months in development, reading countless submissions and finding fresh writers all over, for Phoenix Pictures, Fundamental Films, and Illumination Entertainment.

During those years, I have pitched and covered hundreds of scripts, novels, and non-fiction books. I have dealt with budget, schedule, and the back-and-forth between the animators, the director, and the producer. I have edited a few projects, including an on-set editing of a cooking show in the countryside in Argentina. I have also translated many works from French to English, English to Spanish, Spanish to English, Spanish to French, etc.

Out of all of that, I have learnt more and more that all of us have the same goal: telling the story. For now, I spend my time between finding stories and writers for companies, and writing my own features and novels. I am also learning about soundtracking, lookbooks, color palettes, and composition, because one day, I will direct films, as a natural continuation of building worlds and characters.

If you are also passionnate about telling stories, let me know how I can be of assistance. I love every step of this, so don’t hesitate, whether it’s brainstorming about a world, defining characters’ personalities, bullet-pointing a structure, rewriting dialogues, or practicing the pitch. This is what I dedicate my life to.
